Rousseff has chosen Mail Man Blues - Sleepy John Estes as his entrance music. Rovan Turner has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rovan Turner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Charlisson Rousseff!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Elvis Blanc and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rousseff gets caught flat footed, as Turner shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Turner throws a strike but Rousseff rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Rousseff won't allow Turner to get back to his feet.
Turner tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Rousseff must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Rousseff stops Turner from standing up.
Rousseff stands up from Turner's guard - Rousseff perhaps looking for a knockout.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Rousseff.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Rousseff throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Rousseff scores with a crisp jab that stopped Turner in his tracks.
Turner tries to clinch
and Rousseff counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Rovan Turner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Rousseff counters with a nice uppercut.
Turner is rocked!
Turner wants to clinch but Rousseff slips to the side
and Rousseff counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Rousseff lands a big right hand that sends Turner crashing to the mat! Rousseff stays standing though and waves Turner back to his feet!
Oh Turner is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Turner closes the distance looking to clinch
and Rousseff rattles Turner with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Turner tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Rousseff dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Turner stiff and motionless on the mat!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Charlisson Rousseff!
