Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matt Lipsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommi Kauri (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lipsky comes to the cage accompanied by Das Spiel Ist Aust. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Matt Lipsky!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tommi Kauri!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Anni Minnemäki and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lipsky misses with a head kick.

Lipsky is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Kauri has just dragged him back down to the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Lipsky lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Kauri has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Kauri and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Lipsky parries the strikes from Kauri easily there. Kauri is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Lipsky to escape.

Tommi Kauri showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kauri cracks Lipsky with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Lipsky on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Lipsky tries to get out of the position.

Lipsky's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Tommi Kauri is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Lipsky is bucking up trying to escape but Kauri cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Kauri takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Kauri cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

I've got Kauri winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
