Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Will Saver! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ben Thomas! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Reed Andrews and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Saver throws a combination that misses and Thomas cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Saver walks into a left hand. Saver throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Thomas on the side of the head. Thomas fails to land with a series of punches.
Saver throws a sloppy body shot
and Thomas counters with a three punch combo that has Saver backing up. Saver nods at Thomas to acknowledge the strikes. Thomas comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Thomas avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Saver ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Thomas moves away. Saver will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Thomas moves out of range of the strikes. Thomas doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Saver lands a jab to the head.

and Thomas counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Saver thinking. Saver misses with a hook
and Thomas counters with a right hand to the body. Thomas keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

That's one minute gone in the round. Thomas ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Thomas throws a nice looking combination but Saver bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Thomas bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Thomas drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Thomas staying out of range there. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Saver. Thomas tries to bum rush Saver with a series of wild strikes but Saver uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Saver throws a right hand that misses
and Thomas counters with a three punch combo that has Saver backing up. Saver nods at Thomas to acknowledge the strikes. Saver shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Thomas eats them both and turns towards Saver to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Saver with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Thomas to score with a decent uppercut. Saver throws a hook but Thomas avoids it easily. Will Saver seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Thomas misses with a wild combination.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Thomas ducks under a wild hook from Saver. Saver keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A big left from Saver misses. Thomas moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Thomas lands a jab-cross combination. Saver swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Thomas is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Saver rather than just go for the knockout. Thomas misses with a combination
and Saver counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Thomas thinking. Saver scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Ben Thomas is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Saver lands a body shot.
Thomas looks gassed! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Saver ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Thomas moves away. Thomas steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Saver.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Thomas throws a combination. Saver tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Thomas stuffs the takedown attempt from Saver. Saver gets slowly back to his feet. Saver showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Thomas.
Saver misses with a left hand and Thomas counters with a series of strikes. Saver will be more careful next time no doubt. Saver looks to land a left hand but Thomas moved out of range nicely. Saver throws out a loose jab but Thomas uses good head movement to avoid it. Saver falls off balance throwing a combination
and Thomas counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Saver scores with a one two! Thomas had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. A big right from Saver misses. Saver fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Will Saver. That's going to take a lot out of him. Saver lands with an uppercut that bounces Thomas off the cage and back into rage. Saver throws a right hand that misses
and Thomas counters with a three punch combo that has Saver backing up. Saver nods at Thomas to acknowledge the strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Thomas throws a right and a left that Saver avoids nicely. Saver connects with a body shot. The fighters circling - Saver throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Saver moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Thomas is rocked! Saver throws a right and a left that both miss. Thomas misses with a series of wild punches.
Thomas slips a straight right by Saver. Thomas uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Saver.

Thomas lands with an overhand left. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Saver throws out a powerful jab. Thomas throws a combination that misses and Saver counters with a lovely straight right hand! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Will Saver dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Thomas is still on wobbly legs! Can Saver finish him? Saver darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Saver ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Thomas moves away. Will Saver is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Thomas takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Thomas misses with the combination.
Thomas throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Saver counters with a series of strikes that practically lifts Thomas off his feet! He tumbles backwards, his head bouncing off the mat - Saver follows up with more strikes before the ref can step in but Thomas was out before he hit the floor.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Will Saver!
