The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hendriks steps into range and cracks Van der sar with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Van der sar flops backwards and Hendriks dives into his guard looking to finish!
It looks like Dennis Van der sar has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Van der sar is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Hendriks is posturing up here but Van der sar has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Hendriks tries to roll out but it's too tight and Hendriks has to tap! Slick submission there by Van der sar!
