Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jake Hiil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Condit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jake Hiil!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Michael Condit!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Winston Howard and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hiil misses with a series of wild punches.
Condit keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Hiil could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Condit shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Condit showed some decent athleticism there.
Condit tries to pass to full mount but Hiil defends it.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Condit lands a nice short elbow.
Condit with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Hiil wants to get back to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hiil wants to control but Condit is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Hiil is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
Condit really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hiil. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Condit shoots in for a takedown and gets it, with a heavy slam. That will score well with the judges.
Condit is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Condit accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Condit stays in close to Hiil's body and controls the position.
Let's hope that Condit has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
It looks like Condit might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Hiil enables Condit to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Hiil manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Well Condit has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
