Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Earl Simmons (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gee Damn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Earl Simmons had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Earl Simmons!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Cecil Peabody and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simmons shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Damn pinned against the cage. Damn gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Simmons shoots in and drives through. Damn sprawls well.
Simmons fails with the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Earl Simmons. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Simmons changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Damn tries to avoid it but Simmons manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Damn to the ground. Damn escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Simmons tries to move into range but Damn moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Damn misses with an uppercut.
Simmons feints and as Damn raises his hands in defense, Simmons changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Simmons trying to control the position from guard on top but Damn is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Simmons throwing strikes but missing.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Damn is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Damn keeping moving, preventing Simmons from controlling successfully.
Simmons stops Damn from standing up.
Simmons looking to sit in guard and control but Damn gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Simmons wants to hit a switch here but Damn passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Simmons there!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Simmons can't escape the position.
Simmons is working hard here to advance position.
Simmons tries to lock up and control but Damn gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Damn controlling from the full mount.
Simmons gets back to half guard.
Simmons is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Simmons trying to control but Damn postures up.
Simmons wants to get back to full guard.
Simmons trying to control from the bottom.
Simmons tries to roll over but Damn keeps him under control.

Simmons throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Simmons wants to improve his position but Damn is controlling well.
Simmons wants to control but Damn passes into side.
Damn stands up.
Simmons walks into a left hand.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Simmons shoots in and drives through. Damn sprawls well.
Damn is looking to clinch but Simmons is avoiding it.
Simmons fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Damn stuffs the takedown attempt from Simmons. Simmons gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Earl Simmons. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Damn moves into the clinch successfully.
Damn lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Simmons's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Damn lands an uppercut.
A nice right hand lands inside from Damn.
Damn lands a nice shot to the body.
Damn escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Earl Simmons is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Damn connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Horrible takedown by Simmons or perhaps it was just good defense by Damn which made him look bad.
Damn lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Simmons sprawling to the canvas. Damn follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Simmons hang on?
Simmons is rocked!
It looks like Earl Simmons has been cut.

Simmons wants to control but Damn is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Damn prevents Simmons from improving his position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Simmons wants to control but Damn is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Simmons wants to get back to full guard but Damn has mounted him!

Damn trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Damn avoids the attempt from Simmons to control.

Damn get's back to his feet.
Simmons shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Damn keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Damn lands a head shot.
Simmons misses with a double jab
letting Damn counter with a right hand.
Damn catches Simmons with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Damn rushes Simmons and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Damn escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Simmons shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Simmons throws some wild stikes that Damn manages to avoid easily.
Simmons jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Damn is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Damn and Simmons has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Simmons working the strikes but Damn uses the opportunity to regain half guard.
Simmons controlling the action here.
Damn blocking the ground and pound attempt from Simmons.
Simmons looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gee Damn showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The cut man is working on Earl Simmons's cut.
That's time! Simmons's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Damn misses with a combination
and Simmons counters with a nice double leg into guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Simmons accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Damn keeping full guard, as Simmons tries to pass.
Simmons landing some decent shots from guard.
Simmons trying to control the position from guard on top but Damn is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Simmons controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Simmons's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Damn avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Damn has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Simmons off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Damn takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Simmons gets the takedown into side control.
Damn is letting Simmons control him for a moment.

Damn avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Simmons.
Simmons throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Damn works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
Simmons not doing much here.
Simmons wants to take a breather but Damn is having none of it.

Simmons is just content to waste time from the top position. Damn takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Earl Simmons just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Simmons misses with a takedown attempt
and Damn counters with a three punch combo that has Simmons backing up. Simmons nods at Damn to acknowledge the strikes.
Simmons fails with the takedown
and Damn counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Gee Damn is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Simmons takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Simmons with a lazy takedown attempt
and Damn counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Earl Simmons has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Damn connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Simmons momentarily.

Simmons postures up in Damn's guard and throws a big left but Damn blocks it.

Simmons with a flurry of punches that miss.
Simmons wants to control from the top but Damn keeps moving.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Simmons scoring with punches to the head and body.

And that's the end of the fight!
Earl Simmons showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Damn has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
