The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith gets caught flat footed, as Velara shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Smith had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Velara defends it easily.
Smith has momentary wrist control but Velara slips an elbow through the middle.
Smith really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
