Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tyler Durden! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Luke McKendrick! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Elvis Blanc and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Durden ducks down and throws a hook to the body but McKendrick moves away. Durden moves out of range of the body kick. McKendrick avoids the body shot from Durden.
McKendrick jabs Durden to the body, keeping him at a distance. McKendrick takes one to the side of the head.
Durden uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from McKendrick. McKendrick uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Durden.
Durden misses with a combination
letting McKendrick counter with a right hand. Donk. McKendrick catches Durden right on the button with a cross. McKendrick gets a clinch. Durden working hard to break the clinch. Durden has had enough of the clinch but McKendrick keeps him there for the moment. Durden looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Durden gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from McKendrick.
Durden has a couple of punches blocked by McKendrick.
That's one minute gone in the round. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Durden digs a right hand underneath McKendrick's ribcage. McKendrick let out a lung full of air as it connected. McKendrick breaks from the clinch.
Durden just misses with a punch to the body.
Durden looks to land a right hand but McKendrick moved out of range. McKendrick walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. McKendrick throws a right hand that Durden ducks under and follows up with a left that Durden also avoids with ease. Durden gets tackled into the cage by McKendrick. McKendrick maintains the clinch. Durden misses with a punch on the inside.
McKendrick tries a body shot but Durden blocks it.
McKendrick decides to pull guard. McKendrick escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Durden gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Durden looking to sit in guard and control but McKendrick gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McKendrick pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Durden is keeping the position for now. McKendrick throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Durden works some decent striking defense from the bottom. McKendrick works a leg free and moves into half guard. McKendrick is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
McKendrick not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Durden is holding on to half guard well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McKendrick is looking for a kimura but Durden is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for McKendrick to get the leverage. McKendrick prevents Durden from improving his position. McKendrick throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. McKendrick wants to work for an arm triangle but Durden is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
McKendrick has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. McKendrick is looking for a kimura here.
Durden knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for McKendrick on the ground. McKendrick passes to side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. You can see the frustration on Durden's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Durden is not in a great position here, taking some shots. McKendrick sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Durden is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Durden is looking to reverse the position. McKendrick is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Durden knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Durden struggling a bit here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Luke McKendrick dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
The fighters circle momentarily. Durden darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Durden misses with a body shot.
McKendrick has closed the distance and engaged Durden in a clinch.
Durden throws an elbow that misses.
Durden lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Durden blocks an uppercut.

and McKendrick counters with a three punch combo that has Durden backing up. Durden nods at McKendrick to acknowledge the strikes. Durden digs a good hook to McKendrick's body.
Durden throws a series of punches but McKendrick avoids them all with ease. Durden stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Durden wants it to stay on the feet. McKendrick swings widly with a right hand
and Durden counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Durden loads up on a big right hand but McKendrick slips the punch. Tyler Durden is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Durden misses the body punch and McKendrick counters with a right hand to the body. Tyler Durden is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Durden throws a right and a left that both miss. McKendrick takes one to the side of the head.
McKendrick takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
McKendrick gets a clinch. Durden breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. McKendrick tries to bum rush Durden with a series of wild strikes but Durden uses good footwork to avoid the assault. McKendrick throws a right and a left that both miss. Tyler Durden seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. McKendrick takes one to the chin there. McKendrick walks into a stiff left hand from Durden. Durden misses with a hook
and McKendrick counters into the clinch. Nicely done. McKendrick has Durden pressed against the cage.
Durden is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Durden escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
McKendrick is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Durden's half guard. Durden is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Durden controlling the leg, holding on to half guard. McKendrick takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. McKendrick working Durden over with strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Durden regains full guard. Nicely done. McKendrick wants to control from the top but Durden keeps moving. McKendrick postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Durden is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of McKendrick, into his guard. McKendrick escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Durden gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Durden looking to pass the guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. McKendrick controls Durden momentarily but Durden frees himself. Durden drops back looking for a leg! McKendrick is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and McKendrick manages to kick Durden off! Durden jumps back into McKendrick's guard. McKendrick keeping moving, preventing Durden from controlling successfully. McKendrick trying to control the position.

That was a close second round but I would say that Tyler Durden will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Durden lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Durden swings and misses with a hook to the body.
McKendrick works Durden's body with a nice hook. Durden needs to keep his hands up - McKendrick had a free shot at his head there. Durden avoids a punch combination nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. McKendrick fails miserably with a takedown attempt. McKendrick ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. McKendrick misses with a series of wild punches.
Durden throws out a loose jab but McKendrick uses good head movement to avoid it. Durden swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

McKendrick digs a good hook to Durden's body.
Durden throws a nice looking combination but McKendrick bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Durden shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. McKendrick eats them both and turns towards Durden to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A low kick from Durden misses and McKendrick counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Durden takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Durden is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. McKendrick lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Durden misses with a combination
and McKendrick counters with a straight right hand. McKendrick connects with a looping right hand.
Durden moves out of range of the leg kick from McKendrick. Durden misses with a straight right. Durden tries to work over McKendrick's front leg with a kick but McKendrick checks it. McKendrick throws a right hand that Durden ducks under and follows up with a left that Durden also avoids with ease. Durden misses with a double jab
and McKendrick counters by moving into the clinch. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! McKendrick prevents Durden from breaking the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Durden just leaning against McKendrick, taking a breather. Durden lands a nice elbow. McKendrick lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Durden. McKendrick lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. McKendrick jumps into guard, dragging Durden to the mat.
McKendrick is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Durden trying to control but McKendrick is working from the bottom. Durden is posturing up here but McKendrick has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Durden tries to roll out but it's too tight and Durden has to tap! Slick submission there by McKendrick!
