Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Safet Susic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vitor Roque (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roque is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Parangolé - Balacobaco. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Safet Susic!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Vitor Roque!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Alec Ball and Robert Douchet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roque shoots and misses
enabling Susic to counter with a crisp jab.
Roque misses with a takedown
and Susic counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Susic closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Roque quickly recovers to half guard.
Roque tries to roll over but Susic keeps him under control.
Susic sitting and controlling from the half guard.

Susic is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Susic takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Roque wants to improve his position but Susic is controlling well.
Roque is not content to let Susic control the position.

Roque is refusing to be controlled, as Susic sits in half guard.
Roque tries to get to full guard but Susic has control of the leg.

Roque wants to improve his position but Susic is controlling well.

Susic is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Roque is just riding it out for now. Susic eventually gives up the hold.
Susic works his way into side control.
Roque is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Roque tries to buck Susic off but Susic is having none of it.
Roque pushes Susic away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Susic gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Roque looks gassed!
Roque is letting Susic control him for a moment.
Roque is looking to reverse the position.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Roque is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Susic tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Susic has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Susic thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Susic wants to lay and pray for a moment but Roque keeps working.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Susic is working to tighten is grip on Roque's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Roque has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Susic is really squeezing tight and eventually Roque passes out! Susic breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
