Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Semmy Rizzo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesus Sakes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Rizzo might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to open road song. Sakes has chosen Rock Me Sexy Jesus -Jesus Himself as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Semmy Rizzo! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jesus Sakes! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Wesley Smith and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rizzo tries to clinch and Sakes counters with a nice uppercut. Sakes misses with a takedown and Rizzo counters with a left to the body. Rizzo throws a nice head kick!
Rizzo throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. No luck for Sakes with that takedown attempt. Sakes avoids a kick to the body.
Sakes takes a kick to the side of the head. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Rizzo throws a lazy body kick and Sakes decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Rizzo's guard. Sakes looking to pass the guard. Rizzo has control of Sakes's left arm, preventing Sakes from doing any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sakes drops back, looking for a kneebar! Rizzo looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Rizzo looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Rizzo! Sakes is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Rizzo staying calm. Sakes is looking for a sweep. Sakes is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Rizzo just content to control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Sakes is looking to regain half guard here but Rizzo keeps moving and retains side control. Rizzo remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Sakes is looking to reverse the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sakes is being controlled here. Rizzo knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sakes on the ground.
Semmy Rizzo has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Rizzo misses with a takedown and Sakes makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Sakes keeps the fight on the outside. Sakes lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Rizzo. Sakes has his takedown stuffed and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Semmy Rizzo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jesus Sakes. Sakes blocks a head kick by Rizzo.
Sakes shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Rizzo defends it nicely. An inside leg kick from Rizzo misses. Rizzo throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rizzo forces Sakes back against the cage and clinches. Sakes is trying to break the clinch but Rizzo has him pressed against the cage. Sakes can't break the clinch.
Sakes blocks a body shot from Rizzo. Rizzo tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Sakes avoids it. Rizzo prevents Sakes from breaking the clinch. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Sakes fails to pull guard.

A close round but Jesus Sakes will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Sakes throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Rizzo tries a head kick but it misses.
Rizzo gets off balance looking for a body kick and Sakes counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Sakes seems to be looking for submissions.
Rizzo gets full guard. Sakes would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Rizzo can't keep his opponent in guard - Sakes advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Sakes seems to be working for a kimura but Rizzo defends the submission attempt. Rizzo works his way to full guard. Good work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rizzo wants to stand up but Sakes is controlling him. Sakes drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Rizzo dives on top into guard. Sakes isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Rizzo stacks Sakes on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Rizzo! Sakes manages to work his way to half guard, despite Rizzo's best efforts. Sakes looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Sakes looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Rizzo pushes past his half guard into mount! Sakes is breathing heavily.

Rizzo will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Rizzo looking to control and managing it successfully. Rizzo prevents Sakes from getting the reversal. Sakes wants to control but Rizzo is having none of it. Sakes keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Semmy Rizzo dominated that second round. That's time! Rizzo's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Sakes with a lazy takedown attempt and Rizzo counters with a head kick. That will keep Sakes thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Rizzo moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Sakes has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Rizzo. Sakes has his takedown stuffed so Rizzo counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Rizzo controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Sakes looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Sakes takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Rizzo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sakes swivels though and keeps the full guard. Rizzo is working hard here to advance position. Semmy Rizzo overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

We're going to have a standup here because Semmy Rizzo wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Rizzo defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Sakes. Semmy Rizzo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jesus Sakes. Sakes avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Rizzo throws a sloppy head kick and Sakes moves out of range easily. Rizzo lands with a kick to the ribs.
Rizzo throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Sakes crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Rizzo - the referee stops the clock and Sakes gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Rizzo. Sakes manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Jesus Sakes is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. A slapping leg kick lands for Rizzo.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Rizzo throws a body kick that misses. Rizzo stuffs the takedown attempt from Sakes. Sakes gets slowly back to his feet. Rizzo scores with a spinning back kick! Rizzo closes the distance and clinches. Sakes wants to break the clinch but can't.

Sakes tries to circle away but Rizzo has him pinned against the cage. Rizzo throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Sakess head.

Rizzo throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Sakes blocks it with crossed arms. Rizzo breaks from the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Sakes throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A head kick from Rizzo lands but Sakes takes it in his stride. Sakes shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Rizzo counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Sakes with a lazy takedown attempt and Rizzo counters with a low kick, right behind Sakes 's knee. Rizzo tests Sakes's chin there with a solid looking shot. Rizzo shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Sakes manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Rizzo stands and throws Sakes's legs to the side, diving into side control. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. A lull in the action here as Rizzo stalls from top position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Semmy Rizzo clearly takes that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Rizzo fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Sakes has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Rizzo lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Rizzo chopping away at his opponent's legs.
A head kick misses from Rizzo. Sakes shoots and misses and Rizzo counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. Rizzo lands with a kick to the ribs.
Sakes takes a kick to the side of the head. Rizzo fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Sakes sprawls well initially but Rizzo persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Sakes is absolutely dripping with sweat - he looks exhausted. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Sakes tries to get to full guard but Rizzo has control of the leg.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rizzo slows the pace down in half guard. Sakes is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Rizzo pulls his head out easily. Still in half guard, Rizzo seems content to control. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Rizzo is looking to land body kicks. Rizzo misses with a body kick. Semmy Rizzo is winning the standup battle so far. Rizzo throws the kick towards the body but Sakes avoids it. Semmy Rizzo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rizzo looking to land some kicks to the body here.

Rizzo shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sakes looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Sakes is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Sakes looking for submissions from the bottom here. Rizzo decides to stand up, so the ref orders Sakes to his feet. Rizzo looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Sakes looking for submissions off his back. Sakes is in trouble now - Rizzo has advanced to mount! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Sakes seems to be working for a kimura but Rizzo defends the submission attempt. Sakes looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Sakes pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Rizzo is keeping the position for now. Sakes postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Rizzo is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Sakes, into his guard. Rizzo stays in close to Sakes's body and controls the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sakes had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Rizzo defends it easily. Rizzo has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Sakes is looking for a triangle but Rizzo pushes his legs off easily.
Rizzo content to stall in guard here. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Sakes is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Semmy Rizzo. Well Rizzo has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
