Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Markus Mac (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Diego de Souza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Markus Mac!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Diego de Souza!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Nard Betker and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Souza bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Mac's head.
It looks like Markus Mac has been cut.
Souza misses with a low kick.
Mac feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Mac throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Souza works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Mac is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Mac is pushing down on Souza's leg trying to pass to half guard. Souza is fighting to maintain full guard but Mac has managed to sneak the leg through.
Mac is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Souza is defending against the submission attempts here by Mac.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Souza won't allow Mac to pass to mount.
Mac throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Mac has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Souza defend it? Mac steps over the head and cranks it - Souza is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Mac!
