Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jay Hunter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Royce Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jay Hunter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Royce Gracie! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Ren Mimura and Shigeki Sano.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gracie wants to clinch letting Hunter counter with a right hand. Gracie scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Hunter takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Hunter is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Hunter is working hard here to advance position. Hunter looks to move to half guard but instead Gracie has passed into mount! Damn! Hunter keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Hunter is bucking up trying to escape but Gracie cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie prevents Hunter from getting the reversal. Gracie looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Gracie looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Gracie tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Gracie tries to control but Hunter wriggling away. Hunter is looking to improve his position but Gracie isn't that keen on the idea. Gracie lands a heavy elbow. Hunter can't escape the position.
Gracie controlling from the full mount. Hunter is in all sorts of trouble here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gracie wants to finish this one by submission but Hunter is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Gracie. Hunter is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hunter slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Hunter is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Gracie pulls his head out easily. Hunter wants to improve his position but Gracie is controlling well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hunter is breathing heavily. Gracie performing his best blanket impression for a moment. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Royce Gracie has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Hunter shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Gracie counters with a takedown into side control. You can see the frustration on Hunter's face as Gracie controls the position. Gracie looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Hunter sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hunter makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Hunter. Hunter keeping moving, preventing Gracie from controlling successfully. Gracie preventing the sweep. Gracie must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Gracie postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Gracie is looking to work some ground and pound but Hunter has wrist control. Gracie pushing down on Hunter's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Gracie wants to get back to his feet.
Hunter looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Royce Gracie dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Hunter gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Gracie decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Hunter's guard. Gracie landing with the ground and pound. Gracie wants to control from the top but Hunter keeps moving. Gracie tries to free his leg and advance position but Hunter is retaining full guard. Hunter is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Hunter looking to hit a scissor sweep but Gracie is one step ahead there. Hunter is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Hunter looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gracie sitting in guard, not really doing much. Hunter is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Gracie is aware though and is defending well. Gracie connects with a couple of short punches. Hunter is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Hunter has a closed guard, preventing Gracie from standing up. Hunter working for a triangle but Gracie defends it easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Hunter looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Hunter utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Gracie stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hunter swivels though and keeps the full guard. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Hunter manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Gracie slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gracie works his way to full guard. Good work. Hunter wants to pass the guard but Gracie is keeping the position. Hunter prevents Gracie from getting back to his feet. Hunter forces his way into half guard. Hunter prevents Gracie from improving his position. Hunter passes the guard and advances to mount! Hunter working for a submission but Gracie is keeping him at bay. Hunter swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Gracie is now in Hunter's guard. A big mistake from Hunter there, giving up the dominant position!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hunter working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Gracie doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Gracie manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Gracie showing good wrestling skills to control the position. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hunter is on top in guard.
Hunter pushes down on Gracie's leg and manages to get into half guard. Hunter seems to be working for a kimura but Gracie defends the submission attempt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Royce Gracie will probably get the nod - 10:9. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!
