Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between King Sloth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bartolomeo Fatyga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Sloth might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to all the lights. Fatyga is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Metalica-Enter Sandman . Bartolomeo Fatyga has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, King Sloth!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bartolomeo Fatyga!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Robert Twigg and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fatyga looks to clinch
and Fatyga takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Sloth misses with a takedown attempt
and Fatyga makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Fatyga throws a nice outside leg kick.
Fatyga throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Sloth counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Sloth trying to control but Fatyga is working from the bottom.
Sloth throws a big right hand that misses.
Sloth really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Fatyga trying to keep a closed guard but Sloth is proving a slippery customer.
Sloth slips nicely into half guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sloth seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Fatyga does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Sloth frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Sloth avoids the attempt from Fatyga to control.
Sloth with the ground and pound from mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sloth trying to control but Fatyga is having none of it.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Sloth controlling from the full mount.
Fatyga tries to hold on but Sloth postures up.
Fatyga looks gassed!
Sloth has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Fatyga's face.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sloth lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Sloth will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Sloth takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Sloth moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Fatyga has worked his arm free - good work by Fatyga!

Fatyga really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sloth. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sloth in side control, throwing shots but Fatyga defends.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

King Sloth dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Fatyga ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Sloth moves away.
Sloth gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Fatyga moves into the clinch.

Fatyga breaks the clinch.
Fatyga works over Sloth's head and body with a nice combination.


Sloth is rocked!
Sloth circles away from the clinch attempt.
Oh Sloth is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Sloth throws a lazy body kick
and Fatyga counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Fatyga tries to clinch but Sloth moves away

and Sloth counters by moving into the clinch.
Sloth seems to have got his legs back now.

Fatyga manages to break the clinch.
Sloth moves out of range of the strikes.
That kick from Fatyga tenderised Sloth's leg. Sloth is trying to keep his angry face on.
Nice takedown defense from Fatyga. No joy for Sloth on that attempt.
Fatyga lands a two punch combo.
King Sloth is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Fatyga swinging wildly here.
Fatyga stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Fatyga wants it to stay on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for King Sloth. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Sloth moves away from the strike by Fatyga.
Sloth misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Fatyga misses with an uppercut.
Sloth shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Fatyga sprawls well. Fatyga wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Sloth gets slowly back to his feet.

Sloth advances to mount.
Fatyga is squirming around, avoiding Sloth's attempts to control the action.

Sloth looking to control and managing it successfully.
Sloth throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Fatyga because Sloth loaded up on that one.
Sloth wants to control the pace but Fatyga is squirming around nicely.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Sloth is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Fatyga throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Sloth sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Sloth throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Fatyga lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Sloth is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Fatyga throws a series of punches but Sloth moves out of range.
Fatyga fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Sloth has closed the distance and engaged Fatyga in a clinch.
Sloth has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Fatyga avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A frustrated look appears on Fatyga's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Sloth ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Sloth no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Fatyga would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Sloth pulls Fatyga in close to prevent any damage.
Fatyga stopping the sweep attempt from Sloth.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that King Sloth will probably get the nod.
That's time! Sloth's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. And we move into the final round!

and Sloth counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Fatyga!

Sloth is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Fatyga can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Sloth can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Fatyga is looking to escape.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Sloth wants to take Fatyga's back here but Fatyga is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.
Bartolomeo Fatyga has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Fatyga avoids a series of strikes thrown by Sloth.

King Sloth showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Sloth, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
