The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Illya Tyunina and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cope throws a right hand that misses
and Niekonieczny counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Cope misses with a right hand
and Niekonieczny counters with a nice uppercut.
Niekonieczny throws a hook but Cope avoids it easily.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Niekonieczny.

so Niekonieczny counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Niekonieczny is trying to land a reversal but Cope doesn't like that idea too much. He pushed the legs to the side and dives into side control. He's managed to grab a loose arm triangle.
