Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Toshiro Hasegawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Toshiro Hasegawa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jon Silva! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva looks to land a combination but Hasegawa avoids it well. Silva changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hasegawa looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hasegawa can't do much from the bottom here. Hasegawa holds on to Silva's head and controls the position momentarily. Hasegawa is looking to regain half guard here but Silva keeps moving and retains side control. Silva trying to control the action but Hasegawa is working from the bottom. You can see the frustration on Hasegawa's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Silva wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hasegawa keeps working. Hasegawa is trying to improve his position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Who's going to make the next move? Silva working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Hasegawa wants to control but Silva postures up. Silva wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hasegawa keeps working. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Hasegawa is trying to control Silva's posture but Silva avoids it. Silva working the head with strikes. Hasegawa is trying to control Silva's posture but Silva avoids it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hasegawa is not content to let Silva control the position. Hasegawa is trying to get back to half guard. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Hasegawa manages to get back to half guard. Hasegawa preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. Silva is looking for a kimura but Hasegawa is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Silva to get the leverage. Hasegawa wants to improve his position but Silva is controlling well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hasegawa looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Hasegawa wants to control but Silva is keeping busy and won't allow it. Silva is trying to control the action in half guard but Hasegawa is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Hasegawa is trying to control but can't.
Silva lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Hasegawa is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Silva is thwarting Hasegawa's attempts to control the position. Hasegawa keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Hasegawa wants to get back to full guard.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Silva stuns Hasegawa with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Silva lands a head kick!
Silva drives through and clinches with Hasegawa against the cage.
Hasegawa wants a takedown but no success here.
Silva pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Hasegawa with a poor takedown and Silva counters with a shoot takedown. Hasegawa fights it but they end up in guard. Silva looks gassed! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Silva wants to stand but Hasegawa has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Silva throws a big right hand that misses. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jon Silva dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Hasegawa changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Silva tries to avoid it but Hasegawa manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Silva to the ground. Silva escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Silva looks to land a combination but Hasegawa avoids it well. Silva misses with a wild body shot. Silva clinches with his opponent.
Hasegawa has Silva pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Silva manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Silva stops a takedown attempt from Hasegawa.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Toshiro Hasegawa. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hasegawa is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Silva pulls him back up using the underhooks. Silva digs a right hand into Hasegawa's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Hasegawa's gas tank. Hasegawa has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Silva avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Hasegawa changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Silva fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Hasegawa tries for a takedown but Silva circles away easily and Silva counters with a takedown into side control. Hasegawa is trying to control Silva's posture but Silva avoids it. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Hasegawa is looking for a sweep.
That's one minute gone in the round. Silva is trying to get an arm triangle but Hasegawa is defending well. Silva scoring with punches and elbows. Jon Silva has got the better of the ground game so far. Hasegawa is trying to control Silva's posture but Silva avoids it. Hasegawa is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Silva off and has taken his back! Hasegawa gets his hands free as Silva looks to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Hasegawa is cranking Silva's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Silva! He's tightened the choke and Silva is tapping out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Toshiro Hasegawa!
