Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Craig Mason (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Williams has chosen Sooners Fight Song as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Craig Mason! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Steve Williams! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Dillan Fox and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Williams shoots for a takedown but Mason saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Williams closes this distance looking for a takedown but Mason circles away. Williams shoots in and bounces Mason off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Mason escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Williams gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Mason working for a triangle but Williams defends it easily.
Williams controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Williams working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Mason utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Mason looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Williams slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Williams advances to full mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Williams raining down shots from the mount! Williams has control of Mason's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Mason regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Mason wants to hold on but Williams pushes him away. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mason keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Williams avoids the attempt from Mason to control. Mason tries to get back to half guard but can't. Williams working away from the top, dropping strikes. Williams controlling the position easily from mount. Williams connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Williams is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Mason is surviving well by controlling Williams's body position as best he can. Mason tries to get back to half guard but can't. Mason is breathing heavily. Williams fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Williams avoids the attempt from Mason to control. Williams is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Mason is surviving well by controlling Williams's body position as best he can. A nice elbow there by Williams. Williams cracks Mason with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Williams unloading with bombs! Mason is looking to improve his position but Williams isn't that keen on the idea. Williams wants to control the pace but Mason is squirming around nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Williams sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Williams's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Williams looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

Mason is rocked! Mason in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Oh Mason is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Williams looking to control and managing it successfully. Williams working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Mason looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Williams! Submission of the night perhaps?
