Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Joe Santiago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scrooge McDuck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McDuck has chosen Scrooge McDuck as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Joe Santiago! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Scrooge McDuck! The judges for this bout are , and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Santiago lands a jab-cross combination. McDuck keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Santiago. McDuck throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Santiago tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. McDuck is in Santiago's guard. McDuck is working Santiago over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Santiago is trying to keep McDuck in close.
McDuck really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Santiago. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. McDuck cracks Santiago with a solid left hand. McDuck avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
McDuck scores with a decent looking elbow strike. McDuck with a nice head shot there. This has been an exciting period of action! McDuck throwing strikes but missing. McDuck cracks Santiago with a solid left hand. Santiago will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Santiago can't keep his opponent in guard - McDuck advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. McDuck landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. McDuck missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. McDuck trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. McDuck landing some decent shots from guard. That's three minutes gone in the round. McDuck postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Santiago escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. McDuck gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Santiago really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Santiago not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
McDuck postures up in Santiago's guard and throws a big left but Santiago blocks it. McDuck must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. McDuck drops back, looking for a kneebar! Santiago looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Santiago looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Santiago! Santiago throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Santiago tries for a kimura but McDuck is defending well. McDuck gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McDuck is looking for a sweep. Santiago is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. McDuck trying to get back to full guard but Santiago takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount! Santiago looking to control but McDuck is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Santiago manages to capitalize on a mistake by McDuck to take his back! You can see the frustration on McDuck's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
McDuck turns into Santiago and is now in his guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Scrooge McDuck dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Horrible takedown by McDuck or perhaps it was just good defense by Santiago which made him look bad. Santiago throws a head kick but McDuck moves out of range.

and McDuck counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Santiago's guard now. Santiago trying to keep a closed guard but McDuck is proving a slippery customer.

Santiago gets to his feet. McDuck looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! McDuck closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Santiago to the mat! Santiago manages to get full guard. McDuck throws and elbow that misses. Santiago uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in McDuck's guard. Nice move by Santiago! McDuck keeping moving, preventing Santiago from controlling successfully. Santiago looking to pass the guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if McDuck can do anything to dispel that myth. McDuck tries to land a sweep but no joy. Scrooge McDuck has got the better of the ground game so far. McDuck wants to improve his position but instead Santiago has moved into half guard.

Santiago thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed McDuck's head. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Santiago connects with a nice short shot to McDuck's temple. Santiago prevents McDuck from improving his position. McDuck is looking to control Santiago's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can McDuck avoid being mounted? McDuck is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Santiago is keen to just control but McDuck is a slippery customer. McDuck tries to roll over but Santiago keeps him under control. Santiago tries to pass the half guard into mount. McDuck knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Santiago is trying to control the action in half guard but McDuck is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. McDuck is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. McDuck gets full guard. Santiago scoring with punches to the head and body. Santiago decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on McDuck, up you get! Santiago closes the distance and clinches. Santiago's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. McDuck shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Santiago wants to hold on but McDuck pushes him away. Santiago in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. McDuck thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.

McDuck sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! McDuck goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Santiago turns into him and now he's in McDuck's guard.
McDuck is breathing heavily. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Santiago advances position into side control! Santiago prevents McDuck from escaping the position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Santiago cracks McDuck with a big right hand but McDuck just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
McDuck tries to improve position but can't. McDuck manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! McDuck is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Santiago defends it well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Scrooge McDuck showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Santiago swings and misses with a shot to the body so McDuck counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. McDuck postures up in Santiago's guard and throws a big left but Santiago blocks it. Santiago is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Santiago trying to keep a closed guard but McDuck is proving a slippery customer.

He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of McDuck, into his guard. McDuck takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Santiago wants to stand but McDuck is controlling his posture from full guard. McDuck manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Santiago manages to get himself to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. McDuck cracks Santiago with a solid left hand. McDuck is looking to work some ground and pound but Santiago has wrist control. Santiago throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Santiago manages to capitalize on a mistake by McDuck to take his back! McDuck is defending well here and trying to improve his position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Santiago is looking to control McDuck but McDuck is wriggling around and keeping busy. Scrooge McDuck is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Santiago throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting McDuck!

Santiago is trying to stick to McDuck's back but McDuck is turning into Santiago. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Santiago's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by McDuck.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Joe Santiago. I think McDuck has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
