Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Joe Santiago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scrooge McDuck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McDuck has chosen Scrooge McDuck as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Santiago escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. McDuck gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Santiago really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

McDuck must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

McDuck drops back, looking for a kneebar! Santiago looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Santiago looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Santiago!

McDuck gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McDuck is looking for a sweep. Santiago is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
McDuck trying to get back to full guard but Santiago takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Santiago manages to capitalize on a mistake by McDuck to take his back!
You can see the frustration on McDuck's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Horrible takedown by McDuck or perhaps it was just good defense by Santiago which made him look bad.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Joe Santiago.
I think McDuck has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
