Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lee Patterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Gable (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Gable's choice of entrance music: Bruce Springsteen - Born In The USA. Dan Gable will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lee Patterson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dan Gable! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Robert Douchet and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Patterson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gable moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Patterson misses with a wild combination.
Gable falls off balance throwing a combination
letting Patterson counter with a right hand. Gable throws a jab when Patterson was well out of range. Gable throws a combination that misses and Patterson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Gable fails to land with a series of punches.
Gable will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Patterson. Gable throws a combination that misses and Patterson counters with a nice low kick that buckles Gable's knee momentarily. Patterson lands a jab-cross combination. Patterson staying out of range there. Patterson on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

It looks like Lee Patterson has been cut. Gable throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Patterson counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Patterson trying to control the action but Gable is working from the bottom. Gable keeping hold of Patterson's head, controlling as best he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Patterson is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Gable preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. Patterson tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Gable.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Gable is doing well to control the position and prevent Patterson from advancing to side control. Patterson is keen to just control but Gable is a slippery customer.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gable controlling the position well. Patterson tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Gable.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Patterson decides to return to a standing position. Patterson closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. This fight is sponsored by Chainsaw 7. That was a close round but I would say that Lee Patterson will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Lee Patterson's cut. That's time! Back to the action!

That's one minute gone in the round. Patterson won't allow Gable to sweep him here. Gable is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Patterson is controlling him. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Patterson being controlled here momentarily. Patterson trying to control but Gable is working from the bottom. Gable pushes Patterson off and gets back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Patterson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gable. Patterson lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Gable misses with a left hand and Patterson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Patterson throws a right and a left that both miss. A right-left combo lands from Patterson. Gable throws a hook but Patterson blocks it. Gable throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Patterson. A combination from Gable does no damage. Patterson lands a nice shot to the body.

and Patterson decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Gable's guard. Gable is wriggling around but Patterson manages to pass to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Patterson is tying to control. Gable wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Gable is looking to improve his position.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Patterson keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Gable. Gable misses with a hook

Gable seems keen to control Patterson's posture. Gable keeping moving, preventing Patterson from controlling successfully. Dan Gable has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Both fighters are breathing heavily. Patterson wants to stand but Gable is controlling his posture from full guard.

And that's the end of the fight! Lee Patterson showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Patterson, winning every round. Will the judges agree?
