Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Teddy Boys (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Xavier Saga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Saga comes into a darkened arena with his song building. "Hail Destroyer" by Cancer Bats kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boys misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Boys fails with the takedown.
Boys slips a jab and a cross from Saga.
A left and a right from Saga both land. Nice combination.

It looks like Teddy Boys has been cut.
Saga throws a right and a left that both miss.
Saga misses with a head kick.
Boys has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Saga.

Boys shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Saga is trying to stand.
Boys not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Boys is working for a kimura but Saga is defending it quite comfortably.

Boys is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Saga sees it coming and defends easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Boys escapes and gets back to his feet.
Boys fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Saga is looking to slow Boys down with leg kicks.
Boys is breathing heavily.
Saga throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Boys counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Boys wants to work for an arm triangle but Saga is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Saga is trying to stand up here but Boys is controlling him well.

Boys is nestled in close to Saga, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Saga really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Boys. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Boys is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Saga won't allow Boys to pass to mount.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Saga tries to buck Boys off but Boys is having none of it.
Saga stops Boys from passing to mount.
Boys controls the position from side control.

Boys has hold of Saga's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Saga tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Boys cranks the arm and Saga screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Saga, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
