Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Nate Wright (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Valio Mashinata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mashinata is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Dinosaur song. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, John Roberts and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wright shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Mashinata manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Wright wants to control from the top but Mashinata keeps moving.
Wright working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Wright wants to pass the guard but Mashinata is keeping the position.
Wright is in close to Mashinata's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Wright drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Wright jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Mashinata working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Wright doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Wright manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Mashinata might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Wright kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Wright is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Wright works his way into full mount!
Wright has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Mashinata's face.
Mashinata tries to hold on but Wright postures up.
The referee warns Mashinata that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Wright is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Mashinata up.

Wright is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Wright has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Mashinata! Can he survive? No! He's out! Wright gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
