The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hawkes is looking to clinch.

Hawkes is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Davis is defending well for now.
Hawkes swings away with an uppercut that misses.

A nice left hand lands by Hawkes.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Davis tries to throw a body punch but Hawkes avoids it by throwing Davis back against the cage.

Davis pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Davis lands with a good body shot.

Hawkes feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Davis sprawling to the canvas! Davis rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Hawkes finish him?!

Davis is rocked!

It looks like Jonathan Davis has been cut.
Hawkes throws a monster overhand right that drops Davis! Hawkes follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
