Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lally Pop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesus Christoski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Lally Pop has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Lally Pop seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Lally Pop! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jesus Christoski! The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Tarja Halkonen and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pop tries to clinch there but Christoski circles away.
Pop misses with a hook. Christoski ducks under a wild hook from Pop. Pop moves into range and connects with a jab. Pop throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Pop misses with a takedown attempt - Christoski sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Pop doesn't manage to clinch there - Christoski circles away.
No luck for Pop with that takedown attempt. Pop instigates a clinch. Christoski jumps guard and drags Pop to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Pop looking to pass the guard. Pop postures up.
Christoski wants to sweep here but Pop controlling him for the moment. Christoski throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Christoski has his foot on Pop's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Pop works his way back into a safe position though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Christoski is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Christoski is looking for a triangle but Pop pushes his legs off easily.
Christoski is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Pop throwing strikes but missing. Pop decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Christoski, up you get! Pop misses with a double jab.
Pop fails in his attempt to clinch. Christoski doesn't succeed with the takedown and Pop counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pop seems to be working for a kimura but Christoski defends the submission attempt. Pop tries to pass the half guard into mount. Christoski knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Christoski is trying to control but can't.
Pop passes the guard and advances to mount! Christoski really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Pop lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Christoski hang on? Christoski bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Pop looking to hit a scissor sweep but Christoski is one step ahead there. Pop keeping full guard, as Christoski tries to pass.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pop has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Christoski can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Christoski looking to sit in guard and control but Pop gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Christoski looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Christoski looks gassed! Pop tries to stand but Christoski is controlling from the bottom. Christoski working for a triangle but Pop defends it easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Pop scoring with punches to the head and body. Pop wants to control from the top but Christoski keeps moving. Christoski looking to control.
Pop postures up and lands a big shot to Christoski's brow. Christoski has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Pop can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Pop pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Christoski is keeping the position for now. Pop gets to his feet. Christoski looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Christoski avoids a punch combination nicely.
Pop tries to clinch but Christoski moves out of range. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lally Pop dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Pop swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Pop swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Christoski fails to land the takedown. Pop is looking to land body kicks. Christoski shoots in and drives through. Pop sprawls well. Pop lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Pop throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Pop tries to close the distance and clinch but Christoski swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Christoski with a lazy takedown attempt and Pop counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Lally Pop has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jesus Christoski. Christoski looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Pop stands up from Christoski's guard - Pop perhaps looking for a knockout. Pop throws a body punch but Christoski moves out of range. Pop lands a lovely overhand right. Christoski moves out of range of the leg kick from Pop. Christoski is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pop connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Christoski momentarily.
Pop misses with the combination.
Pop gets the takedown into side control. Christoski sneaks back into half guard. Christoski on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Pop decides to return to a standing position. Pop throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Christoski keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Pop misses with a few strikes there.
Christoski tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Pop swivels and escapes. Christoski shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Christoski was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Christoski wants to take his opponent's back but Pop doesn't allow it. Christoski throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Pop because Christoski loaded up on that one.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Christoski goes for an armbar but Pop turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Pop. Christoski looking for a guillotine here but Pop defends easily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Christoski wants to sweep here but Pop controlling him for the moment. Christoski wants to stand but Pop is controlling the position. Christoski wants to sweep here but Pop controlling him for the moment. Christoski bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Pop's guard. Pop trying to keep a closed guard but Christoski is proving a slippery customer.
Christoski has gone for a leg lock! Pop slips out almost immediately though and dives into Christoski's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Christoski keeping moving, preventing Pop from controlling successfully. Christoski working a defensive guard but Pop manages to pass into side control anyway.
Christoski gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Pop wants to stand up but Christoski is controlling the position.
Christoski is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Pop's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Pop's back! Christoski looking to break Pop's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Pop remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Christoski will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Christoski wants to control the position but Pop frees himself and scrambles - Christoski manages to regain control in side control.
Pop is trying to control Christoski's posture but Christoski avoids it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pop manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Christoski is looking to improve his position.
Pop thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Christoski's head. Pop postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Christoski to stand up. Pop throws a series of punches but Christoski moves out of range. Pop throws a right and a left that both miss. Pop fails in his attempt to clinch. Pop rushes Christoski and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Pop is working for takedown but Christoski is calmly controlling the position for now. Pop wants to get back to striking at distance but Christoski won't allow it.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Pop is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Christoski successfully pulls guard.
Pop decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Christoski scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lally Pop dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Pop takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. A head kick misses from Pop. Christoski on the wrong end of a nice hook. Lally Pop is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Christoski swats away the attempt to clinch by Pop. Pop with a hook. Pop with a hook. Pop with a poor takedown and Christoski counters with a takedown into side control. Christoski trying to control the action but Pop is working from the bottom. Pop prevents Christoski from moving into mount. Christoski tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Christoski has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Pop manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Christoski is looking for a kimura but Pop is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Christoski to get the leverage. Christoski is working for a kimura but Pop is defending it quite comfortably.
Christoski trying to control the action but Pop is working from the bottom. Christoski is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Pop defends it well. Christoski tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Pop. Christoski not landing any meaningful shots this time. Pop is trying to get back to full guard. Pop is in trouble now - Christoski has advanced to mount!
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Pop defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Christoski. Pop is looking to get to half guard. Christoski working Pop over with strikes here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Christoski throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Christoski trying to control but he's not successful this time. Christoski fails to advance to Pop's back. Christoski swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Pop is now in Christoski's guard. A big mistake from Christoski there, giving up the dominant position!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Christoski being controlled here, momentarily. Pop is sitting in close to Christoski's body. Christoski has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Pop is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Pop is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Christoski.
