The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Sam Margolis and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hardy jabs Quert right on the nose. Quert blinks but takes it well.
Hardy lunges at Quert with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Quert's hand.
Hardy swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Quert.
Quert finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Quert shoots for a double leg takedown but Hardy sprawls well. He's pushed Quert's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Hardy throws a series of punches but Quert avoids them all with ease.
Quert misses with a low kick.
Hardy throws a right and a left that Quert avoids nicely.
Hardy misses with a two punch combination.
Hardy throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Nice defenses there by Quert.
Quert darts in and clinches Hardy up against the cage.
Quert jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Hardy walks away with a smile on his face. Quert gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hardy swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Quert gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Quert prevents Hardy from breaking the clinch.
Hardy wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Quert tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Hardy just stands there and leans against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bob Quert. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Quert fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Quert tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Quert pulls guard successfully.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Quert looking for a triangle here. Hardy is fighting it but it looks tight! Quert pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Hardy is tapping out - this one is all over!
