Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Viktor Laskutkov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rick Willis!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shigeki Fujiwara and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laskutkov lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Willis backs up against the cage.


It looks like Rick Willis has been cut.

Willis changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Laskutkov looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Laskutkov struggling a bit here.

Willis looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Laskutkov can't do much from the bottom here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Willis is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Laskutkov knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Willis tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Willis has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Willis thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Laskutkov tries to bench press Willis off him but Willis keeps the position.

Willis tries for a kimura but Laskutkov is defending well.

Willis has an Americana. Laskutkov didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Willis is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Willis hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
