Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Travis Mercer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ferdynand Kiepski! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Hugh Johnson and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kiepski swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Mercer cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Kiepski throws a combination that misses and Mercer counters with a straight right hand. Kiepski swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Mercer counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Kiepski falls off balance throwing a combination
and Mercer counters with a nice uppercut. Kiepski throws a combination that misses enabling Mercer to counter with a crisp jab. Mercer takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Kiepski misses with a double jab
and Mercer counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Mercer throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kiepski works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Mercer is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Mercer throwing strikes from guard but Kiepski blocks nicely. Mercer working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Kiepski looks gassed!
That's one minute gone in the round. Mercer pushes down on Kiepski's leg and manages to get into half guard. Mercer not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Mercer has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Mercer landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Mercer throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Mercer sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Kiepski defending well though. Mercer throwing shots but Kiepski is blocking nicely. Mercer throwing shots but Kiepski is blocking nicely. Mercer passes to side control. Mercer misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mercer lands a decent elbow from side control. Mercer in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Mercer lands a few punches from side control. Mercer landing a few strikes.
It looks like Ferdynand Kiepski has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Mercer cracks Kiepski with an elbow. That is naaassty. Mercer looks up at the clock and then as Kiepski takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Mercer smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Ferdynand Kiepski's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Ferdynand Kiepski's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
