The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Winston Howard and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Munoz lands with a kick to the temple. Mooney shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Munoz misses with a few strikes there.
Mooney misses with a wild combination.
Mooney throws a left and a right that both miss
and Munoz counters with a leg kick then a big left hand that sends Mooney down! Munoz is looking to finish but Mooney is intelligently defending himself.
Mooney is rocked!
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Munoz controlling from the top position.
Mooney is still in real trouble! Can Munoz finish him?
Munoz stands up over Mooney, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Munoz decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Mooney seems to have recovered his senses.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Munoz throws a perfectly timed hook that sends Mooney crashing down! Mooney tries to stagger back to his feet but Munoz just hammers him until the ref stops the fight! A confused Mooney asks the ref what just happened. Poor fella.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mark Munoz!
