Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mizuro Goenji (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dennis Wong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mizuro Goenji!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dennis Wong!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Goenji ducks under a wild hook from Wong.
Goenji shoots in for a takedown but Wong shows good takedown defense.
Goenji tries to score a power double leg takedown but Wong sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Goenji somewhat.
Goenji doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Goenji shoots in looking for a takedown. Wong tries to sprawl out of it but Goenji keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Wong manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mizuro Goenji. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Goenji shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Wong as he jumps to the side.

Goenji misses with a takedown attempt - Wong sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Wong throws a looping overhand right but Goenji ducks down to avoid it.
Goenji shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Wong sprawls well. Wong wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Goenji gets slowly back to his feet.
Goenji looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Goenji fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Wong avoids it really well and circles away.

and Wong counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Goenji misses with a takedown attempt - Wong sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Goenji takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Goenji is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Wong to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Wong shrugs it off.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Goenji tries to control but Wong wriggling away.
Wong avoids a series of strikes thrown by Goenji.
Wong really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Goenji. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Mizuro Goenji dominated that second round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Wong stalks Goenji and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Goenji's face. Goenji staggers backwards, shaken.
Dennis Wong is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Goenji cracks Wong with a right hand to the side of the head.
Goenji misses with a head kick.
Goenji tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Goenji rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Wong counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Goenji will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

And that's the end of the fight!
Dennis Wong comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Wong has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
