Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dave Rocky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wakka Farplane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Dave Rocky has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dave Rocky! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Wakka Farplane! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Damien Edna and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rocky gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Farplane counters with a stiff right hand. Rocky shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Farplane napping and manages to drive through into side control! Farplane is trying to improve his position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Farplane gets back to half guard. Farplane is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Farplane slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Rocky won't allow Farplane to sweep him here. Rocky lands a couple of digs. Farplane keeping moving, preventing Rocky from controlling successfully. Farplane looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Farplane lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Rocky!
That's one minute gone in the round. Farplane looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Farplane is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Rocky is surviving well by controlling Farplane's body position as best he can. Rocky tries to hold on but Farplane pushes him away. Rocky knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Farplane on the ground. Farplane with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Farplane is working for a guillotine from mount but Rocky frees his head quite easily.
Farplane goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Rocky is on top in guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rocky working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Rocky trying to control but Farplane is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Farplane looking to hit a scissor sweep but Rocky is one step ahead there. Farplane looks gassed! Farplane has his foot on Rocky's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Rocky works his way back into a safe position though. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Rocky postures up and lands a big shot to Farplane's brow. Rocky stopping the sweep attempt from Farplane. Farplane keeping moving, preventing Rocky from controlling successfully.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rocky throws a big right hand that misses. Rocky preventing the sweep. Rocky landing with the ground and pound. Farplane is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Rocky lands a couple of decent looking shots. Rocky wants to get up but he can't break Farplane's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Rocky works over Farplane with some ground and pound from guard. Rocky is stalling in the full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Farplane tries to land a sweep but no joy. Farplane is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Rocky on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Rocky tries to get out of the position. Rocky wants to get back to his feet.
Farplane is working for a submission of some sort.
Rocky is pressing down on Farplane's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Farplane drops back, looking for a kneebar! Rocky looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Rocky looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Rocky! Farplane on the wrong end of some ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Wakka Farplane dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Rocky misses with a takedown attempt and Farplane counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Farplane uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rocky.
Farplane shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Rocky trying to hold on to Farplane's head to control him but Farplane postures up.
Farplane is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Rocky wants to get back to full guard. Farplane is looking for a kimura here.
Rocky is trying to control but can't.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Farplane is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Rocky sees it coming and defends easily. Rocky looks like he's trying to stand up.
Farplane has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Farplane looking for a guillotine from mount but Rocky is having none of it. Wakka Farplane has got the better of the ground game so far. Farplane has hold of Rocky's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Rocky manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Farplane jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Rocky manages to avoid the submission attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Rocky holding on. Farplane has hold of Rocky's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Rocky tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Farplane cranks the arm and Rocky screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Rocky, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:42 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Wakka Farplane!
