Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Darian Gorman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pedro Gato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gato is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Brainsucker. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Darian Gorman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Pedro Gato! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Yves DeLean and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gorman tries to clinch there but Gato circles away.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Gato. Gato looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Gorman bucks up and tries to throw Gato off but instead Gato has got his back! Gato scores with punches and elbows. Gato missing with strikes from the back. Gato lands shots from the back. Gorman is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gato not allowing Gorman to control his hands. Gorman defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.
Gato seems to be going for a rear naked choke. He has an arm under Gorman's chin but Gorman turns very nicely into Gato's guard. Good BJJ skills being displayed there by Gorman.
Gorman won't allow Gato to sweep him here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Gato pulls Gorman in to control the position. Gorman is looking to stand up but Gato won't let him. Gorman has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Gato drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Gato looks gassed!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gato trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Gato pushes down on Gorman's leg and manages to get into half guard. Gato wants to take a breather but Gorman is having none of it. Gato performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Gorman wants to improve his position but Gato is controlling well.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Gorman trying to control from the bottom.
Gato tries to pass to full mount but Gorman defends it. Gorman manages to escape and get back to his feet! Gorman scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Gorman moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Gorman lands a head kick!
Gorman tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Gato scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Pedro Gato dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Gorman lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Gato scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Gorman trying to remain calm as Gato controls from the top position. Gorman is trying to get back to his feet. Gato tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Gorman is trying to escape the position but Gato is controlling the position. Gato thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Gato is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Gorman knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gato has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Gorman! Gorman is bucking up trying to escape but Gato cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Gato can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Gorman is looking to escape. Gorman tries to reverse the position but Gato maintains control. Gorman is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Gato throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Gorman because Gato loaded up on that one. Gato gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! Gato looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Gorman is fending him off so far but Gato persists. Nope, Gorman circles away and we're back to standing. Darian Gorman is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Gorman has his takedown stuffed and Gato counters with a nice double leg into guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Gato wants to control from the top but Gorman keeps moving. Gato is fighting to break Gorman's control of his arms but Gorman is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Gorman not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Gorman is trying to stand up here but Gato is controlling him well. Gato is keen to just control but Gorman is a slippery customer. Gato throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Gorman tries to close the distance and clinch up but Gato swats him away and circles back towards the center. Gorman darts in and clinches Gato up against the cage. Gorman tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Gato just stands there and leans against the cage. Gorman trying to land knees to the body.
Gorman tries for a takedown but Gato manages to get underhooks.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Darian Gorman. That's going to take a lot out of him. Gato drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Gorman gets the underhooks and prevents it.

and Gato counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Gorman wants to stand but Gato is controlling the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gato postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Gorman wants to stand up but Gato is controlling him. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Pedro Gato showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Gorman closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Gorman is trying to break the clinch but Gato has him pressed against the cage. Gorman tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Gato just stands there and leans against the cage. Gorman wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Gato is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Gorman pulls him back up using the underhooks. Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Gorman. Gorman tries to land a knee to the head but Gato blocks with his arms.
Gato has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Gorman is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Gorman missing with knees to the body.
Gorman wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Gato wants a takedown.
Darian Gorman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pedro Gato. Gato tries to pull guard but Gorman holds him up against the cage and eventually Gato drops back down to his feet.
Gorman jumps guard and drags Gato to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gato trying to control the position from guard on top but Gorman is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Gorman wants to stand but Gato is controlling the position. Gato wants to stand but Gorman is controlling his posture from full guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gato trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Gato looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Let's hope that Gato has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Gato passes Gorman's left leg - he's now in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Gato sitting and controlling from the half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gato is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Gato performing his best blanket impression for a moment. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Gato lands a nice short elbow. Pedro Gato has got the better of the ground game so far. Gato decides to stand and escape the position. Gorman throws a low kick but Gato avoids it. Gato shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Gorman's guard. Gorman wants to sweep here but Gato controlling him for the moment. Gorman wants to stand and escape but Gato is having none of it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gorman wants to get back to his feet but Gato passes into half guard.
Gorman looks like he's trying to stand up.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Gorman fails with an attempt to clinch.
Darian Gorman has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Gorman tries to clinch but Gato is having none of it. Gorman misses with a double jab.
And that's the end of the fight! Pedro Gato comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Gato winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
