Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Freddy Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and DeAngelo Spite (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Evans comes to the cage accompanied by "A Country Boy Can Survive" by Hank Williams Jr.. Spite has chosen Nelly - "Here Comes The Boom" as his entrance music. DeAngelo Spite has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Freddy Evans's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Freddy Evans!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, DeAngelo Spite!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Aafke Stam and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spite moves out of range of the strikes.
Spite fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Evans manages to avoid it.
Spite looks to land a combination but Evans avoids it well.

and Spite counters with a stiff right hand.
Spite throws a combination that misses

and Evans counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Evans thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Spite's head.
Spite works his way to full guard. Good work.
Evans stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Spite swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Spite really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Evans. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Evans trying to control but Spite is working from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Evans drops back looking for a leg! Spite is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Spite manages to kick Evans off! Evans jumps back into Spite's guard.

Spite is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Evans sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Spite's guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Evans wants to lay and pray for a moment but Spite keeps working.
Evans prevents Spite from standing back up.

Spite lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Evans circles away quickly and effectively.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Spite throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Evans stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

DeAngelo Spite seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Evans looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

DeAngelo Spite showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
