The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akerlund throws a jab when Sayaf was well out of range.
The crowd cheers as Sayaf lands an impressive looking overhand right. Akerlund doesn't seem phased though.

Abu Sayaf seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Akerlund counters with a one-two to the body.
Akerlund tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Sayaf avoids a punch combination nicely.
Akerlund gets in close and tags Sayaf with a short punch that almost sends Sayaf to the mat! Oh Sayaf is in big trouble! He turns his back on Akerlund, trying to create some distance but Akerlund rushes him, striking wildly and Sayaf goes down! The referee tackles Akerlund into the ropes to end the fight! Akerlund is one violent man!
