Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kaimana Ladera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Takanori Gomi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ladera comes to the cage accompanied by Otherside Red hot chili peppers. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kaimana Ladera! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Takanori Gomi! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Alyssa Summers and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gomi throws a nice looking combination but Ladera bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Ladera takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Ladera shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Gomi manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Ladera forces his way into half guard. Still in half guard, Ladera seems content to control. Ladera thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Gomi is looking to get back to full guard here but Ladera has managed to pass to side control instead. You can see the frustration on Gomi's face as Ladera controls the position. Gomi is trying to improve his position. Ladera moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Ladera throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gomi managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Ladera.
Gomi struggling a bit here. Ladera has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Gomi! Gomi tries to hold on but Ladera postures up. Gomi is working to get back to half guard.
Ladera content just to control the position here. Gomi is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Ladera takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Gomi is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Ladera has taken his back! You can see the frustration on Gomi's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Gomi looks gassed! Ladera scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.
Ladera is looking to finish with some ground and pound! Ladera is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gomi really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ladera. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Ladera seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Gomi for as long as he can get away with. Gomi is covering up but some of the strikes from Ladera are getting through and doing damage.
Ladera has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Gomi! Can he survive? No! He's out! Ladera gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:03 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Kaimana Ladera!
