Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Akira Ishikawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brian Walsh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ishikawa comes to the cage accompanied by mindshift genki sudo. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Akira Ishikawa! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Brian Walsh! The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Hugh Johnson and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ishikawa gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Walsh counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
It looks like Akira Ishikawa has been cut. Walsh works the jab nicely. Nice sprawl there from Walsh as Ishikawa shoots in. Walsh throws a series of punches but Ishikawa avoids them all with ease. Ishikawa has a takedown stuffed. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Akira Ishikawa. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ishikawa rushes Walsh and presses him up against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ishikawa wants a takedown.
Ishikawa tries to pull guard but Walsh holds him up against the cage and eventually Ishikawa drops back down to his feet.
Ishikawa drops down looking for an ankle pick but Walsh pulls his leg out and moves away.
Ishikawa avoids a punch combination nicely.
Brian Walsh seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ishikawa shoots in but Walsh avoids the takedown attempt easily. Ishikawa rushes Walsh and presses him up against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Walsh makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Ishikawa drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Walsh gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Ishikawa has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Walsh avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Walsh scores with a shot to the side of Ishikawa's head. Walsh makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Walsh throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Ishikawas head. Walsh lands a right hand that snaps the head of Ishikawa backwards. Ishikawa is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. A nice left hand lands by Walsh.

Walsh lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Ishikawa wants a takedown but no success here.
Walsh presses Ishikawa against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Walsh working some nice short punches in the clinch. Walsh lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Ishikawa is breathing heavily. Ishikawa misses with a knee to the head. Walsh lands with a right to the head. Ishikawa tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Walsh prevents a takedown attempt there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A short uppercut from Walsh. A nice right hand lands inside from Walsh.
Akira Ishikawa's cut is getting worse. Walsh lands a left hand that snaps the head of Ishikawa backwards. Walsh prevents the takedown attempt.
Walsh keeps control of Ishikawa as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Walsh throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Ishikawas head. Ishikawa has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Walsh avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Ishikawa's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Ishikawa tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Walsh lands a hook that snaps the head of Ishikawa backwards. Ishikawa goes for a takedown attempt but Walsh pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Walsh cracks Ishikawa with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Ishikawa looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Walsh finish him?
Ishikawa is rocked!
Akira Ishikawa's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Some wild striking there from Walsh.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ishikawa uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Walsh. Walsh lands with a nice body punch. Walsh lands a lovely overhand right. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Walsh stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Walsh wants it to stay on the feet. Ishikawa fails miserably with a takedown attempt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Brian Walsh dominated that round. The cut man is working on Akira Ishikawa's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Ishikawa is trying hard to land a takedown here. Walsh sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Walsh misses with a hook
and Ishikawa counters with a head kick. That will keep Walsh thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Ishikawa with a poor takedown and Walsh counters with a nice body shot. Ishikawa displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Walsh throws out the jab. Walsh lands a big right hand that sends Ishikawa crashing to the mat! Walsh stays standing though and waves Ishikawa back to his feet!
Jeez, Akira Ishikawa's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Akira Ishikawa's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Brian Walsh!
