Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jjang Shin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Garvey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Garvey is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: One Loaf of Bread -- Damian Marley. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jjang Shin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Marcus Garvey! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Winston Howard and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shin doesn't succeed with the takedown and Garvey counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Garvey. Shin shrugs it off though. Shin really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Shin throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Garvey cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Shin shoots and misses and Garvey makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Shin really felt that one! Shin misses with a takedown attempt and Garvey finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jjang Shin. That's going to take a lot out of him. Garvey throws out a powerful jab. Marcus Garvey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Shin counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Shin. Shin drops back, looking for a kneebar! Garvey looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Garvey looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Garvey! Shin is looking for a sweep.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Garvey tries to advance to mount but can't. Garvey stands up and we're back to a striking position. Shin shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Garvey counters with a big head kick but Shin shrugs it off. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Garvey misses with a lunging right hand
and Shin counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shin prevents Garvey from getting back to his feet. Shin in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Shin trying to control the position from guard on top but Garvey is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Garvey wants to stand and escape but Shin is having none of it. Shin in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Shin wants to control from the top but Garvey keeps moving. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Garvey is looking to stand up but Shin isn't so interested in that idea. Shin trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Garvey manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Garvey wants to stand and escape but instead Shin has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Garvey has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Shin off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Garvey lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marcus Garvey dominated that round. That's time! Shin's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Garvey lands a left hand that snaps the head of Shin backwards. Garvey lands with a short head shot on the inside. Garvey has Shin pushed against the cage. Garvey pushes Shin back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Garvey is working Shin over against the cage. Shin jumps guard but Garvey stands there with Shin around his waist. Shin gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round. Garvey lands with a short shot to the head. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Shin jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Garvey walks away with a smile on his face. Shin gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Shin slips under a jab from Garvey. Shin throws a nice looking combination but Garvey bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Marcus Garvey is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Garvey fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Garvey throws a predictable looking body shot
and Shin counters with a single leg into guard. Garvey didn't expect that. Shin stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Garvey swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Garvey wants to stand up but Shin is controlling him. Garvey keeping moving, preventing Shin from controlling successfully. Shin throwing strikes but missing. Garvey uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Shin misses with a takedown attempt and Garvey counters with a low kick, right behind Shin 's knee. Garvey misses with a head kick.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Shin fails with the takedown and Garvey counters with a nice leg kick. Garvey thows a body shot but no joy. Garvey avoids a punch combination nicely.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Garvey's jab looks to have found its range, popping Shin under the eye. Garvey misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Shin.

Shin tries for a takedown but Garvey circles away easily and Garvey counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Shin is lucky that one didn't land flush. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Marcus Garvey showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Garvey throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Shins head. Shin jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Garvey lands with a left to the head. Garvey is pushing Shin up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Shin tries to pull guard but Garvey holds him up against the cage and eventually Shin drops back down to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Shin has Garvey pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Garvey manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Shin fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Garvey pushes Shin back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Garvey lands a body punch. Shin jumps guard but Garvey stands there with Shin around his waist. Shin gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Garvey lands with a light punch inside. Shin looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
And that's the end of the fight! Marcus Garvey comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Garvey winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
