Samuelsson has chosen Three 6 Mafia - It's a Fight as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ivanov fails with the takedown
and Ivanov takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Samuelsson misses with a series of wild punches.

Ivanov gets caught flat footed, as Samuelsson shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Ivanov thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Samuelsson stays in close to Ivanov's body and controls the position.
Ivanov not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Samuelsson postures up in Ivanov's guard and throws a big left but Ivanov blocks it.

Samuelsson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ivanov has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Samuelsson has managed to get both his arms back between Ivanov's legs - danger averted.
Ivanov wants to get back to his feet but Samuelsson passes into half guard.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Samuelsson connects with a nice short shot to Ivanov's temple.
