Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Stanley Ipkis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Johnny McSeuss! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Paul Aken and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McSeuss connects with a body shot. Ipkis throws a leg kick and McSeuss counters with a single leg into guard. Ipkis didn't expect that. McSeuss trying to control the position from guard on top but Ipkis is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Ipkis trying to control the position.
McSeuss looking to pass the guard. McSeuss wants to control from the top but Ipkis keeps moving. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ipkis pushes McSeuss off and scrambles back to his feet.

McSeuss lands a jab. McSeuss drives through with a takedown into guard. Ipkis looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Ipkis knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for McSeuss on the ground. McSeuss trying to control the position from guard on top but Ipkis is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ipkis wants to stand and escape but McSeuss is having none of it. Ipkis looking to hit a scissor sweep but McSeuss is one step ahead there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ipkis is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. McSeuss misses with a takedown attempt and Ipkis counters with a right hand to the body. Ipkis on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Ipkis throws a series of punches but McSeuss moves out of range. Ipkis lands a two punch combo.
Ipkis tries to close the distance and clinch up but McSeuss swats him away and circles back towards the center. Ipkis throws a right and a left that both miss. McSeuss gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Ipkis counters with a leg kick. McSeuss shoots in but doesn't get the takedown letting Ipkis counter with a right hand. Stanley Ipkis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Johnny McSeuss. McSeuss looks gassed!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ipkis looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. McSeuss tries for a takedown but Ipkis circles away easily and Ipkis counters with a shoot takedown. McSeuss fights it but they end up in guard. Ipkis throws and elbow that misses. McSeuss uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Ipkis's guard. Nice move by McSeuss! Ipkis uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Ipkis forces McSeuss back against the cage and clinches. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Ipkis tries to break free but McSeuss pushes him back against the cage. McSeuss taking a breather. Ipkis stops a takedown attempt from McSeuss.
Ipkis jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as McSeuss walks away with a smile on his face. Ipkis gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. McSeuss shoots in and drives through. Ipkis sprawls well. Ipkis pivots, looking for a leg kick but McSeuss is out of range and Ipkis settles back down. McSeuss is trying hard to land a takedown here. Ipkis sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ipkis moves into the clinch. Ipkis's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. McSeuss takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Ipkis tries to bum rush McSeuss with a series of wild strikes but McSeuss uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Excellent takedown into side control there by Ipkis. Ipkis stands up and we're back to a striking position. A nice combination there by Ipkis.

McSeuss is bucking up trying to escape but Ipkis cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Ipkis lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Ipkis landing strikes from the mount and McSeuss is in trouble! Ipkis connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Ipkis lands with some vicious ground and pound - can McSeuss hang on? And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Stanley Ipkis dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Ipkis throws a leg kick and McSeuss counters with a takedown into side control. You can see the frustration on Ipkis's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Ipkis is pushing McSeuss's head away, looking to escape. McSeuss manages to hold on to the position though. Ipkis wants to control but McSeuss postures up. McSeuss decides to stand up, so the ref orders Ipkis to his feet. McSeuss shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Ipkis counters with a three punch combo that has McSeuss backing up. McSeuss nods at Ipkis to acknowledge the strikes. A jab from Ipkis finds it's way through McSeuss's defenses. Ipkis throws a right hand that McSeuss ducks under and follows up with a left that McSeuss also avoids with ease. McSeuss shoots in and gets a takedown into Ipkis's guard. Ipkis seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Ipkis wants to sweep but no luck. Ipkis on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Ipkis tries to get out of the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as McSeuss accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Ipkis is looking for a triangle but McSeuss pushes his legs off easily.
Ipkis is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and McSeuss dives into side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. McSeuss is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Ipkis has escaped the position, nice work there. Ipkis takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Ipkis gets back to half guard. Ipkis has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. McSeuss is working away from the top position though. McSeuss throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Ipkis keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Ipkis is looking to control McSeuss's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Ipkis avoid being mounted?

Ipkis seems keen to control McSeuss's posture. McSeuss trying to control but Ipkis is working from the bottom. McSeuss postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Ipkis is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of McSeuss, into his guard. Ipkis has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Ipkis with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Johnny McSeuss showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

McSeuss takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Ipkis throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Ipkis swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by McSeuss. Ipkis lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. McSeuss is trying to maintain the position but Ipkis is very close to passing his half guard. McSeuss is not content to let Ipkis control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Ipkis lands strikes from half guard. Ipkis prevents McSeuss from improving his position. Ipkis throwing shots but McSeuss is blocking nicely. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Ipkis connects with a nice short shot to McSeuss's temple. Ipkis scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Ipkis not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. McSeuss has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Ipkis escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Ipkis! McSeuss takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
And that's the end of the fight! Stanley Ipkis showed his dominance in that final round. Well Ipkis has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
