Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Grammund Rider (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pate Perhana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Grammund Rider!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pate Perhana!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rider just misses with a punch to the body.
Perhana fails with the takedown
and Rider counters with a nice body shot.
Perhana fails with the takedown
letting Rider counter with a right hand.
Rider swings and misses with a shot to the body

and Perhana counters with a takedown into side control.
Perhana controls the position.
Rider is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Perhana slows the pace down.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Pate Perhana has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Perhana misses with a takedown
enabling Rider to counter with a crisp jab.
Grammund Rider has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pate Perhana.
Perhana takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Rider gets caught flat footed, as Perhana shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Perhana is pushing down on Rider's leg trying to pass to half guard. Rider is fighting to maintain full guard but Perhana has managed to sneak the leg through.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Perhana tries to pass the half guard into mount. Rider knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Well, if Perhana is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Rider misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Perhana.
Perhana with a poor takedown
and Rider counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Rider misses the shot to the body.
Rider misses with a body shot.
Rider tries to clinch there but Perhana circles away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pate Perhana dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Rider throws an overhand right that lands on Perhana's shoulder, as Perhana tries to avoid the shot.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Rider swings away with a body shot that misses

and Perhana counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Perhana is controlling the pace.
Perhana prevents Rider from improving his position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Perhana looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Pate Perhana wasn't active enough on the ground.

Perhana is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Rider's half guard.
Rider is looking to control Perhana's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Rider avoid being mounted?

Perhana wants to pass to mount but Rider is defending the position.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Grammund Rider just wasn't active enough.

and Perhana takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Rider fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Perhana manages to avoid it.
Grammund Rider is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

and Perhana counters with a takedown into side control.

Perhana taking a breather here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pate Perhana showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Rider misses with a body punch

and Perhana decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Rider's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Rider wants to control the position but Perhana says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Well, if Perhana is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Grammund Rider.
Perhana misses with a takedown attempt
and Rider makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Perhana fails with the takedown
and Rider counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Perhana shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Rider counters with a right hand to the body.
Grammund Rider has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pate Perhana.

Grammund Rider has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Pate Perhana is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Perhana tries to move into full mount but can't pass Rider's legs.
Rider trying to remain calm as Perhana controls from the top position.

Pate Perhana comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Perhana winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
