PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Oasfn Asmdfip (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Willis Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Asmdfip has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Willis Jackson told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Asmdfip changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jackson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jackson manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Jackson is trying to maintain the position but Asmdfip is very close to passing his half guard.
Jackson keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Asmdfip throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Jackson wants to control but Asmdfip is keeping busy.
Jackson pushes Asmdfip off looking to stand but Asmdfip dives back in and keeps control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Jackson is concentrating on defense, preventing Asmdfip from advancing position.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Willis Jackson hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Asmdfip closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Jackson to the mat! Jackson manages to get full guard.
Jackson has momentary wrist control but Asmdfip slips an elbow through the middle.
Asmdfip throws and elbow that misses. Jackson uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Asmdfip's guard. Nice move by Jackson!

Asmdfip throws his legs up looking for a submission but Jackson uses it to pass to side control.
Asmdfip is breathing heavily.

Jackson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Asmdfip keeps working.
Asmdfip knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jackson on the ground.
Jackson gets to mount! Asmdfip was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Jackson trying to control but Asmdfip is having none of it.
Jackson lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Jackson tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Asmdfip is trying to reverse the position but instead Jackson has taken his back - oops!
Asmdfip tries to roll but Jackson sticks to his back.
A bit of a pause in the action here. Jackson controlling the positon.
Asmdfip wants to escape the position.

Jackson scores with some strikes to the side of the head there. Good, points scoring shots.
Jackson has good solid back control here.
Let's hope that Jackson has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Jackson is looking to control Asmdfip but Asmdfip is wriggling around and keeping busy.
I would not like to be Asmdfip right now.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Jackson has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Asmdfip is in real trouble here. Jackson gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Asmdfip is tapping out! Jackson wins by rear naked choke!
