Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Phil Resin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Ray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ray is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: God of Fight. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Phil Resin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Marcus Ray! The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Roosa Järviläinen and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Resin tries to clinch but Ray moves out of range. Resin tries to close the distance and clinch up but Ray swats him away and circles back towards the center. Ray scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Resin throws a head kick but Ray moves out of range.
Resin circles away from the clinch attempt.
Ray takes the fight into the clinch. Resin wants a takedown.
Resin really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Resin taking a breather. A bit of stalling here from Ray.
Resin is trying to break the clinch but Ray has him pressed against the cage. Ray should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Ray is pushing Resin up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Ray trying to stall but Resin improves his position.
The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Marcus Ray. Ray tries to clinch there but Resin circles away.
Ray tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Resin counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Ray doesn't manage to clinch there - Resin circles away.
Resin misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Resin circles away from the clinch attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Resin shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Ray sprawls well. Ray wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Resin gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Phil Resin. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ray closes the distance but Resin moves to the side and Resin counters by moving into the clinch. Ray is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

Resin shoots in looking for a takedown but Ray manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Resin's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Ray looks to clinch and Resin moves into the clinch. Ray manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Ray is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Marcus Ray. Resin circles away from the clinch attempt letting Resin counter with a right hand.
It looks like Marcus Ray has been cut. Ray looks gassed!

Resin tries for a takedown but Ray circles away easily and Ray moves into the clinch. Resin is trying to break the clinch but Ray has him pressed against the cage. Resin is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Ray is keeping busy. Resin pulls guard. Resin lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Ray! Resin lands with some strikes. Resin looking to control but Ray is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Resin is really struggling to control Ray but he's trying to hold on to the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Marcus Ray seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Resin misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Resin shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Ray defends it nicely. Ray is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Resin dives in and grabs Ray's left leg, looking for a takedown. Ray pushes down on Resin's head and hops out. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ray tries to clinch but Resin is having none of it. Ray leaves Resin with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Phil Resin. That's going to take a lot out of him. Resin shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ray as he jumps to the side. Ray fails with an attempt to clinch.

Resin fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Ray avoids it really well and circles away. Resin swats away the attempt to clinch by Ray. Ray tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Resin manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Resin has a takedown stuffed. Ray is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Resin throws a head kick but Ray moves out of range.

Ray manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Ray wants to clinch up but Resin keeps it at a distance.

Resin has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Resin looking for a triangle here. Ray is fighting it but it looks tight! Resin pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Ray is tapping out - this one is all over!
