Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Phillips (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lee Kazama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Phillips comes to the cage accompanied by Norma Jean-Kill More Presidents. Lee Kazama will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kevin Phillips! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lee Kazama! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kazama fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Kazama clinches up with Phillips and pushes him back against the cage. Phillips looking for a takedown. Phillips has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Kazama avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Phillips landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Phillips gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Phillips breaks the clinch.
Kazama circles away from the clinch attempt and Kazama counters with a big head kick but Phillips shrugs it off. Kazama gets in close and instigates a clinch. Phillips is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kevin Phillips. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kazama gets underhooks to prevent Phillips's takedown attempt.

Phillips has clasped his hands together around Kazama's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Phillips stands up. Phillips scores a takedown into full mount! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kazama tries to get back to half guard but can't. Phillips landing punches. Phillips working Kazama over with strikes here. Phillips looking to secure an arm triangle but Kazama defends it well.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Kazama is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Kazama is bucking up trying to escape but Phillips cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Phillips has control of Kazama's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Kazama regains control of the situation pretty easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kazama in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kevin Phillips dominated that round. That's time! Phillips's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Phillips tries to clinch but Kazama moves out of range. Phillips rushes Kazama and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Phillips ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Phillips no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Phillips wants to sweep but no luck. Kevin Phillips overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Phillips manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Kazama takes the fight into the clinch. Phillips breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Phillips shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kazama's guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Phillips gets to his feet. Kazama looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Phillips's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Phillips moves to clinch but Kazama breaks away and Kazama counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Kazama. Kazama preventing the sweep. Phillips is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Kazama decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Kazama is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Phillips's half guard. Phillips avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Kazama. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Phillips kicks off Kazama and gets to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lee Kazama showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Phillips stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Phillips tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Kazama moves into the clinch. Kazama fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Phillips closes the distance looking to clinch so Kazama counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kazama gets to his feet. Phillips looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Phillips tries for a takedown but Kazama circles away easily and Kazama counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Phillips wants to sweep but Kazama has passed to side control!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kazama moves into full mount! Phillips tries to control Kazama's body but Kazama pushes him off. Phillips squirms to his side and now Kazama has his back! Phillips rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Kazama prevents Phillips from improving his position. Kazama decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
And that's the end of the fight! Lee Kazama comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Kazama has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
