Stoner comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Battle Hymn kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Man, I cannot wait for this one!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Thomas Stoner!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Gwen Towbar and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morton tries to clinch
and Morton takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Stoner lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!


It looks like Carl Morton has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Stoner throws a left and a right that both miss

and Morton counters by moving into the clinch.
Morton keeps control of Stoner as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Stoner avoids a wild elbow strike from Morton.
Morton is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Morton trying to stall but Stoner improves his position.
Stoner wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Morton throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Morton throws a punch but it's blocked by Stoner.
Morton throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Morton prevents Stoner from breaking the clinch.
Stoner wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Morton has him pressed against the cage.
Morton creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Come on Morton - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Stoner breaks from the clinch.
Stoner throws a right and a left that both miss.
Morton tries to clinch but Stoner moves away
and Stoner counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Stoner looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Stoner scores with a jab to the jaw.
A looping hook to the body misses from Stoner. Morton does a little dance to reset his feet.
Morton tries to clinch but Stoner moves away

and Stoner counters with a series of strikes that sends Morton to the canvas! Stoner follows down into guard, looking to finish the fight!


Carl Morton's cut is getting worse.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Stoner decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Stoner misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Morton moves to clinch but Stoner breaks away
letting Stoner counter with a right hand.
Stoner misses with a combination

and Morton moves into the clinch.
Morton landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Stoner working hard to break the clinch.
Stoner tries to break free but Morton pushes him back against the cage.
Morton keeps control of Stoner as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Morton throws an elbow that misses.
Morton lands an elbow that stopped Stoner in his tracks for a moment.
Stoner blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Stoner wants to break the clinch but can't.
Stoner has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Morton stalling in the clinch but Stoner improves position.

Stoner breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Stoner lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Morton circles away quickly and effectively.
Morton looks to clinch
and Stoner counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Morton is breathing heavily.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Morton tries to clinch
and Stoner counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Stoner lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Stoner keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.


Carl Morton's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Stoner jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Morton takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Stoner circles away from the clinch attempt
and Stoner counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Stoner shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Morton eats them both and turns towards Stoner to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Morton walks into a straight right hand from Stoner.

Jeez, Carl Morton's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.
Morton shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Stoner throws out a powerful jab.
Stoner scores with a sloppy right hand. Morton should have avoided that one.
Stoner looks to land a combination. Morton sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Carl Morton's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Thomas Stoner!
