Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between LaCarn Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vil Lane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, LaCarn Williams!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Vil Lane!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Saam Ante and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A low kick from Lane is predictable there
and Williams counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Lane gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Williams cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Williams throws a head kick that Lane semi-blocks.
Lane throws a sloppy head kick

and Williams counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Williams.

Lane is fighting off a takedown attempt but Williams is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Lane to the mat. Lane regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Williams works over Lane with some ground and pound from guard.

Williams postures up.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Lane is on top in guard.
Williams wants to stand and escape but Lane is having none of it.
Lane slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Lane thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Williams is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Lane asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Lane tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Lane has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

That's one minute gone in the round.

Lane is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Williams has escaped the position, nice work there.

Lane is working to tighten is grip on Williams's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Williams has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Lane is really squeezing tight and eventually Williams passes out! Lane breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Vil Lane!
