Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rashid Magomedov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vitaliy Martinov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Rashid Magomedov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vitaliy Martinov! The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Dmitry Maklakov and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Magomedov looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Martinov! Magomedov takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Magomedov with some aggressive grappling here, looking for the finish.
Magomedov throws a wild left hand from mount and Martinov manages to wriggle his way back to half guard. Magomedov missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Martinov trying to control but Magomedov postures up.

That's one minute gone in the round. Magomedov tries to free his leg and advance position but Martinov is retaining full guard. Martinov wants to sweep here but Magomedov controlling him for the moment. Martinov keeping moving, preventing Magomedov from controlling successfully. Martinov working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Magomedov doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Magomedov manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Martinov escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Magomedov gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Martinov uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Magomedov shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Magomedov with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Martinov is in all sorts of trouble here.
Martinov tries to hold on but Magomedov pushes him away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Martinov keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Magomedov lands a heavy elbow. Martinov wants to control but Magomedov is having none of it. Magomedov sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Martinov is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Magomedov controlling his opponent. Magomedov has hold of Martinov's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Martinov manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Magomedov clinches up against the cage. Magomedov is trying to force a seperation but Martinov has the dominant position. Martinov gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Magomedov regains guard.
Martinov is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Magomedov utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Martinov wants to pass the guard but Magomedov is keeping the position. Magomedov looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Martinov looking to sit in guard and control but Magomedov gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Magomedov is looking to advance position but Martinov has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
That's one minute gone in the round. Martinov has hold of Magomedov's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Magomedov manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Martinov is breathing heavily. Martinov content just to control the position here. Martinov has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Magomedov's face.
Martinov thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Magomedov holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Martinov tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Martinov pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Martinov raining down hammerfists from mount. Martinov wants to control the pace but Magomedov is squirming around nicely. Magomedov is wriggling around trying to escape.
Martinov is working for a guillotine from mount but Magomedov frees his head quite easily.
Martinov jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Magomedov is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Magomedov and Martinov has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Martinov has knee on belly and moves into mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Martinov sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Magomedov tries to reverse the position but Martinov maintains control. Martinov wants to control the pace but Magomedov is squirming around nicely. Martinov has control of Magomedov's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Magomedov regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Rashid Magomedov overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Magomedov wants to get back to his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Martinov punching from mount but Magomedov doing a good job of avoiding damage. Magomedov wants to control but Martinov is having none of it. Magomedov is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. Martinov throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Martinov swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Magomedov is now in Martinov's guard. A big mistake from Martinov there, giving up the dominant position! Martinov not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Vitaliy Martinov showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! And we move into the final round!

Martinov tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Magomedov wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Martinov stops Magomedov from passing to mount. Magomedov wants to stand but Martinov has his arm trapped. Martinov tries to improve position but can't. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Magomedov tries to get to his feet but Martinov is in the middle of advancing position himself and ends up with Magomedov in his guard. Magomedov avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Martinov wriggles free and stands up. Rashid Magomedov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Magomedov drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Martinov wants to control but Magomedov postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Magomedov tries to advance position but instead Martinov slips a leg back in to half guard. Magomedov is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Martinov is trying to control but can't.
Well, if Magomedov is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Rashid Magomedov just wasn't active enough. Magomedov scores a takedown into full mount! Magomedov controlling his opponent. Martinov has worked his way to half guard, taking advantage of Magomedov's lack of action.
Magomedov knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Martinov on the ground.

And that's the end of the fight! Rashid Magomedov showed his dominance in that final round. Well Magomedov has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
