The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cusumano misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Cusumano misses with a double jab.
Cusumano connects with a jab. Somebody takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Cusumano digs a good body shot into Somebody's ribs. Somebody dodges the punch combination from Cusumano.
Cusumano swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
enabling Somebody to counter with a crisp jab.
It looks like Stephen Cusumano has been cut. Somebody has taken the fight to the clinch.
Cusumano is trying to push Somebody away but Somebody has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Cusumano tries to break the clinch but Somebody is controlling the position. Somebody can't get the takedown.
Somebody drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Cusumano gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Somebody turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Somebody in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Cusumano pushes Somebody away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Somebody gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Cusumano on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Cusumano tries to get out of the position. Somebody trying to control the action but Cusumano is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cusumano wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Somebody tries to advance to mount but can't. Cusumano is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Somebody looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Somebody is working to tighten is grip on Cusumano's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Cusumano has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Somebody is really squeezing tight and eventually Cusumano passes out! Somebody breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
