Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hajime Saito! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Holliday! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Tiny Johnson and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Saito gets the takedown into side control. Saito working the ground and pound but Holliday is defending the strikes. Saito tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Saito has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Holliday is looking for a sweep. Saito has hold of Holliday's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Holliday seems comfortable defending it but Saito has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Holliday is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Holliday is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Saito couldn't care less - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Hajime Saito!
