Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cain Velasqs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hank Hill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cain Velasqs! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hank Hill! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Alan Glass and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Velasqs with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Hill to score with a decent uppercut. Velasqs takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Both fighters circling a little - Velasqs finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Hill misses with a hook. Velasqs ducked under it nicely. Velasqs lands with a thumping leg kick.
Hank Hill seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Velasqs displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Hill throws out the jab. Velasqs throws a head kick that misses. Hill fails to land with a series of punches.
Velasqs bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Hill cracks a nice hook into Velasqs's ribs. Velasqs thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Hill if he has to take too many more of those.
Hill misses with a looping right. Hill cracks Velasqs with a right hand to the side of the head. Hill takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Velasqs will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Velasqs fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Hill. Velasqs chopping away at his opponent's legs.

Hill throws a looping overhand right but Velasqs ducks down to avoid it. Hill rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Velasqs moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Hill uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Velasqs throws the kick towards the body but Hill avoids it. A big left from Hill misses. Hill throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Hill might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Hill moves out of range of the body kick. Velasqs steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Hill. Velasqs throws a head kick but Hill moves out of range.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Velasqs throws a low kick but Hill moves out of range easily. Hill misses with a hook. Velasqs ducked under it nicely. Velasqs really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Hill moves out of range of the body kick. Velasqs scores with a nice body kick.

A big left from Hill misses. Velasqs pushes Hill away with a front kick. Velasqs looks for the body kick but Hill saw that one coming. Hill on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Velasqs buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Hill loads up on a big right hand but Velasqs slips the punch. Velasqs swings away with a leg kick that misses. A slapping body kick lands there for Velasqs. A good leg kick by Velasqs. Hill moves out of range of the body kick from Velasqs.
Hill shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Hill showed some decent athleticism there. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Velasqs wants to control but Hill is keeping busy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Velasqs keeping control of the position. Velasqs wants to control but Hill is keeping busy and won't allow it. Still in half guard, Hill seems content to control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Velasqs has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Hill is working away from the top position though.
We're going to have a standup here because Cain Velasqs wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Hill lands a really nice looking cross but Velasqs seems unphased.

Hill has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Velasqs. Velasqs thuds his shin into the meat of Hill's side. Velasqs thows a body shot but no joy. Velasqs ducks under a wild hook from Hill. Velasqs looks to score with a jab to the body but Hill is just out of range. A slow jab from Hill misses its intended target. Velasqs ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Velasqs misses with a hook
and Hill connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Hill closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Velasqs did well to prevent Hill getting side control. Velasqs slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Velasqs had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Hill defends it easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cain Velasqs dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Hill's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Velasqs slips under a jab. Velasqs scores with a spinning back kick! Hill lands with a cross. Hill avoids a kick to the body.
Velasqs gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Hill to score an easy takedown into full guard. Hill is stalling in the full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Velasqs is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Velasqs had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Hill defends it easily. Hill trying to control the position from guard on top but Velasqs is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Hill tries to free his leg and advance position but Velasqs is retaining full guard. Velasqs looking to control.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Hill controlling from the top position. Hill really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Velasqs. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Hank Hill has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Velasqs moves out of range of the strikes. Hill scores with the left hand. Velasqs knows he should have avoided that one. Velasqs feints and then cracks Hill's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Hill down. Velasqs throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Hill catches Velasqs with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Velasqs scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Velasqs throws a lazy body kick and Hill cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Velasqs moves away from the strike by Hill. Hill drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Velasqs is trying to get back to half guard. Velasqs is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Hill off and has taken his back! Hill is in bad spot here.

Hill wants to get back to his feet. Hill rolls, trying to escape but Velasqs keeps control of the position.
Velasqs has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Hill's body.

Hank Hill showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

and Velasqs finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body. Hill takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

Hill raining down shots from the mount! Velasqs is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Velasqs sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Velasqs is concentrating on defense, preventing Hill from advancing position. Hill prevents Velasqs from improving his position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hill lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Hill seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
And that's the end of the fight! Hank Hill comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Hill has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
