Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mark Hughes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Dan Jones!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Ackerman and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones shoots for a takedown but Hughes saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Jones has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Jones tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hughes swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Jones shoots in but Hughes avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Hughes rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jones moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Jones tries to close the distance and clinch but Hughes swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Hughes changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Hughes throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Jones counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Jones tries to clinch there but Hughes circles away.
Hughes throws a one two combo.
Hughes tries to bum rush Jones with a series of wild strikes but Jones uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Hughes throws a series of punches but Jones avoids them all with ease.

Jones drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Hughes really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Jones decides to stand up, so the ref orders Hughes to his feet.

Hughes misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Jones is looking to clinch but Hughes is avoiding it.

Mark Hughes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hughes on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Hughes tries to get out of the position.

Jones tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Hughes manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Hughes's corner calls for a 1-2. Hughes obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Hughes defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Jones.

Hughes isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Jones stacks Hughes on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Jones!
Jones is looking to take a break and control but Hughes is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
