Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jose Garcia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joao Botelho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Botelho has chosen Vale Tudo - Mag as his entrance music. Joao Botelho told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Luis Engracia and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garcia gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Botelho to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Botelho stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Garcia swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Botelho engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Joao Botelho wasn't active enough on the ground.
Botelho looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Garcia!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Garcia is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Botelho breaks from Garcia's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Botelho is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Garcia tries to clinch up
and Botelho counters with a takedown into side control.
Botelho looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Botelho is trying to ground and pound but Garcia uses the momentary lack of control by Botelho to regain half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Botelho missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Botelho is working for a submission of some sort.
Garcia is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Botelho is tapping! Great win for Garcia!
