The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ject swings away with a body shot that misses
and Kukko counters with a straight right hand.

Kukko has his foot on Ject's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ject works his way back into a safe position though.

Kukko isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Ject stacks Kukko on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Ject!

Lasi Kukko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ject leaves Kukko with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Kukko closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ject circles away.

Ject stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Ject moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Ject scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Kukko throws a left and a right that both miss
letting Ject counter with a right hand.
Lasi Kukko's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Kukko shoots for a takedown but Ject saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

and Ject counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
