Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ulf Minutsak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Son Wukong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 12 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ulf Minutsak! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 11 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Son Wukong! The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Fedor Mirinova and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Minutsak dodges the punch combination from Wukong.
Minutsak throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Minutsak gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Wukong wants to get up but he can't break Minutsak's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Wukong throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Minutsak wants to stand up but Wukong is controlling him. Wukong trying to control but Minutsak is working from the bottom. Wukong controls from within his opponent's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Minutsak looking for a sweep. Not yet Minutsak, not yet.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Son Wukong wasn't active enough on the ground. Minutsak misses with a lunging right hand
and Wukong counters with a left to the body. Minutsak misses with a jab to the body
letting Wukong counter with a right hand. Minutsak misses with a body punch
and Wukong counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Minutsak's guard now. Wukong trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Wukong throws a strike but Minutsak rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Minutsak wants to control from the top but Wukong keeps moving. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wukong is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Wukong postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Minutsak to stand up. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Minutsak throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Wukong counters with a nice double leg into side control. Minutsak won't be happy with that. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. You can see the frustration on Minutsak's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Wukong working the head and body with strikes. Wukong wants to control but Minutsak is keeping him busy. The ground and pound from Wukong seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wukong in side control, throwing shots but Minutsak defends. Wukong just content to control the position. Wukong throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Minutsak is looking for a sweep. Wukong working the ground and pound but Minutsak is defending the strikes. Wukong cracks Minutsak with a big right hand but Minutsak just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Minutsak is looking to reverse the position. Minutsak is not content to let Wukong control the position. Wukong creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Minutsak sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Wukong is looking to take a break and control but Minutsak is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Minutsak is positioning himself to get back to half guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Minutsak takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Son Wukong dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

That's one minute gone in the round. Wukong content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Son Wukong has got the better of the ground game so far. Wukong is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Wukong loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Wukong missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Minutsak looking to control.
Minutsak on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Minutsak tries to get out of the position. Minutsak keeping moving, preventing Wukong from controlling successfully. Wukong throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Minutsak works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Son Wukong was stalling too much, according to the referee. Wukong throws a push kick but Minutsak slaps the foot to one side. A lazy left from Minutsak finds it's target. Wukong closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Wukong lands in his opponent's guard. Wukong is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Wukong wants to control from the top but Minutsak keeps moving. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Son Wukong showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Wukong throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Minutsak's waist but Minutsak gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Wukong off to one side. Wukong shoots in and bounces Minutsak off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Wukong has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Wukong is standing up over Minutsak. Minutsak looks to escape but Wukong dives into side control.
Wukong wants to lay and pray for a moment but Minutsak keeps working. Wukong cracks Minutsak with an elbow. That is naaassty.
That's one minute gone in the round. Minutsak wants to get back to his feet but Wukong drags him back down. Minutsak manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Wukong missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Wukong sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Minutsak defending well though. Minutsak keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Minutsak is trying to control but Wukong passes into side control!
Wukong trying to control the action but Minutsak is working from the bottom. Wukong might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Minutsak kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Minutsak is in a bad spot here and he knows it... just holding on for now. Minutsak taking a bit of punishment here - Wukong scoring with strikes. Wukong wants to lay and pray for a moment but Minutsak keeps working. Minutsak gets back to half guard. Wukong missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wukong missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Minutsak is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Wukong scores with a couple of nice shots. Wukong landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Minutsak has hold of Wukong's hands but Wukong slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Minutsak wants to control but Wukong is keeping busy.
Wukong takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Wukong throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Ulf Minutsak has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Minutsak is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
And that's the end of the fight! Son Wukong comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Wukong winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
